Challenge

Fabricake Sugarcraft are one of the UK’s leading Cake Decorating Supplies Company. Spearheaded by World renowned Cake Artist Hayley Wisken and her partner Michael, they have taken the industry by storm over the past few years and solidified themselves as ‘the peoples cake company’ providing excellent customer service, delivery and products.

We spent approximately six months working closely with Fabricake, and developed a strong strategy for growth. With a modest budget for marketing and minimal online experience, we held a great relationship with the team throughout the entire process.

With a strong Social following and email subscriber base, we knew we needed to utilise what was already in place to create a foundation to increase further services. Fabricake were an amazing client, our favourite to date. Always open and wanting to push the boundaries. It was a pleasure to work alongside them.

Solution

Time was invested working on the customer experience, ensuring the website structure and content flowed to offer a streamlined conversion path. The time invested in C.R.O saw an increase in customer engagement online, with page views increasing by over 20%.

Introducing a reviews process with Reviews.co.uk we not only generated an expansive level of unique on site content but also increased the companies ratings online. 100% of customers would recommend Fabricake to a friend.

Email marketing campaigns were introduced to make the most of the 30,000+ subscriber list. Tailored around a strong marketing strategy which worked in line with other outlets emails grew from 1.36% to 15% of the overall site revenue. With a phenomenal open rate of over 25% and an unsubscribe rate of 0.2%, the emails were clearly a big hit.

Social Media retargeting was introduced to take advantage of a huge following on Facebook. A ROAS of 28 became an extremely efficient marketing tool providing a strong stream to the website.
